About the Koru Symbol

"Koru" is a word from the Maori tribe of New Zealand - It is the name for the newborn, unfurling fern frond. In Maori culture, koru designs traditionally symbolize new life, spiritual growth, strength, and peace. A koru is a sign of encouragement and new, positive beginnings, and it represents renewal, the search for knowledge, and hope for the future.

In nature, the delicate koru reaches towards the light, striving for perfection. Here at Koru Studio, we hope that this symbol will inspire our members to strive for the best that is within us, and encourage us all to grow strong in body, mind, and spirit.
